Summary: You must understand about these losses--they're still decent and most often productive days, it's just that they're lacking the discipline that I think should be standard by now.

Summary: Had my first Kaplan training. It went well. There's a lot of stuff to learn, but I feel comfortable with the material, and I like explaining academic things, so it should be good. The class is small--4 other students, 1 teacher, and 1 teacher-in-training who is observing.

Summary: Reading On the Advantage and Disadvantage of History for Life last night was awesome. It was a rare instance in which thought directly translated into action. More specifically, this morning I lingered in bed, nearly falling back asleep, but then I remembered Nietzche's words, and I resolved not to be a soft, dillatente modern who abuses history. It propelled me directly out of bed and into a day packed full of activity.
I started hard-boiling eggs to eat in the morning to save time. Up until now, I had been requiring myself to eat an egg every morning for the protein content, but it took a while to fry it up and clean the pan. Now I can boil 5 eggs for the week, or however many I will require, store them in the fridge and voila...instant eggs for the week.

Outcome: "Win"
Record: 2-0
Streak: Won 2

Summary: Went to Eva's work party at Spasso's, had a killer lunch, and met some cool people. I had roasted peppers, bread and olive oil, caprese salad, fine wine, roasted eggplant, pasta, eggplant parm, a cappuccino, and samples of various desserts. The meal was incredible. Afterward I talked to my mom, finished my grocery list, went shopping, and messed around online. I will probably read before going to bed.
Outcome for 1/19: Win
Record: 1-0
Streak: Won 1

Summary: I had pancakes and fruit with Eva for breakfast, studied a cookbook, planned meals for next week, started creating a grocery list and an equipment list, did some parkour conditioning and practiced some basic moves, went shopping for olive oil at Di Bruno Bros, picked up some wine at the state store, made a delicious dinner consisting of soup, salad, and carrots with honey mustard sauce, did dishes, cleaned the house a bit, and later I'm going to continue reading On the Advantage and Disadvantage of History for Life by Nietzche and then go to bed.
