Items Eliminated From My Task List: 1
Items Added To My Task List: 0
Items Remaining on My Task List: 32
Hours Worked: 1.5
Total Hours Worked This Week: 65.5/60

Summary: I had a mostly relaxing day. Work-wise, I took care of my Kaplan business and finished my Penn app, which is great. Now all my applications are done. Leisure-wise, I went to Last Drop with Eva and picked up a chair and ottoman at Uhuru.

Week in Review: Overall, this was an excellent week. I performed well at my Kaplan trainings, completed my Penn application, and exercised diligently. I could tighten-up my discipline, but it was good.
Transitions are critical, as Dan has pointed out. I think imagining the next activity before ending the previous one helps. Also, going slowly and purposefully from task to task is important when you have a lot of little things to do. Like when I walk in and I have a bag to unpack, a call to make, a jacket to take off, dinner to start, etc. etc., I'll walk over to take off my bag, but then change directions and walk to the kitchen, then walk to the coat hanger and basically waste several minutes being indecisive. I need to calm down, do one thing, then another, and move purposefully.
Another thing is taking my non-essential limits seriously. Like, I would prefer to read for 30 minutes every night before going to bed, but some nights, when preparing for Kaplan, or writing my Penn application, I would allow myself to use that time for the primary task because I don't NEED to read for 30 minutes on that particular day. The end result is that I didn't read much this week, and I need to fix that next week.
Goals for next week:
1. Successfully complete Kaplan training
2. Read 30 minutes a day, minimum
3. Either stay the same or go down with my number of items on my task list.
4. Sharp, calm transitions

Schedule for Tomorrow:
Study Kaplan, drop hard copy documents off at Penn, get a magnet for the knife rack on the fridge, work-out for 30 minutes, and read for 30 minutes.
